Hey everyone !
Today we are going to make some cheesy bell peppered fried tacos. This simple recipe is quick and easy and great for kids to eat.
List of items:
* 1 medium size frying pan
* 1/2 cup of canola oil
* 1 medium size green bell pepper
* 1/4 of a block of monterey jack cheese
* 4-6 medium size corn tortillas
* 1 pair of tongs
Okay everyone, this recipe is easy peasy. First, your going to wash you bell pepper and dice it into even pieces. I usually cut the pepper into four sections and continue from there.
Once your done, your going to put your cup of oil to heat in your frying pan on medium temperature. While waiting for the oil to heat, your going to cut your cheese into even thin slices. The thicker the slice, the cheesier the taco will be.
Now for your corn tortillas, your going to check if the tortilla breaks if you slightly fold it. If so, you can soften them in the microwave for 30 seconds. Or, you can try your local grocery stores such as Superior and thee North Gate Market, they make their own fresh tortillas daily and are soften.
With your soften tortillas, your going to add your slice of cheese on half of each tortilla and sprinkle diced green bell peppers. Next, fold each tortilla and gently add 2 to the frying pan with your tongs.
Give your tacos 5 to 10 seconds to fry before flipping over. You want your tacos to look slightly golden brown.
Once done, your going to repeat these steps until your reached your desired amount tacos cooked.
Tip 1: Be careful not to drown your tacos in oil, it can cause the cheese to run out. You want the oil level to be as thick as a thin slice of cheese.
Tip 2: To add rice, Look for the ' How to make Mexican Rice ' recipe under my menu tab.
